1.From the intersection of
Highway's 3 and 259 in Broken Bow, take highway 259 north toward Beavers
Bend and Broken Bow Lake. From this point travel north until you see a large
green sign that will Beavers Bend entrance on the right hand side of the
road. At this point on the left hand side of the road will be several stores
and a miniature golf.
2. Continue north on 259 from
this point 1.8 miles. On the right hand side of the road will be a mileage
marker sign that will say Poteau and Dam road. At this point even with the
sign, take a left on a gravel road.
3.Take the next left hand turn,
approximately 1/10th of a mile.
4.Again take the next left
approximately 1/10th of a mile. You will cross a low water crossing. and a
landmark at this turn, will be a cabin called Spradlin Elkhorn and Cherokee
Maiden.
5.Now go approximately 3/10ths
of a mile. This road will be curved and pass a small pond on the left hand
side of the road, continue going down this road and when it starts to make a
curve to the right. At that point you are at the Tatanka Cabin; it will have
a sign made out of half a log and the word Tatanka on it.
6. The next cabin down the road
will be Sugar Shack, and it also has a sign made out of half a log.
7. Both cabins have a red metal
roof.
